I'm an English Major currently attending Yuba College.
Experience
I have been an English tutor on campus for two years and have done private tutoring as well. I did a summer semester as a speech tutor. I've written for the college paper, The Prospector, for two years and was the editor of this paper for one year. I've done freelance journalism; I most recently had three pieces published in the last edition of the Yuba-Sutter Community Magazine. I'm an honor roll student, and although English is my specialty, I am also certified to tutor Math up to pre-algebra. I've worked with many ESL students and am very patient. I'm willing to travel for work, and I'm very good at problem solving. If there is a question I don't have an answer for I love working together to find it. One thing I love about tutoring is that I too learn a lot.

Hobbies
I love to read, write, and take photos. I'm a big traveller. This is the fourth state I've lived in but I've visited many. I really enjoy camping, boating, and swimming. I was born in Vermont but I'll take warm weather and summer activities over the cold and snow any day! Other than that I just love spending time with friends and family. The people in my life are more important to me than anything else.
